Phil Collins - Serious Hits...why no "Everyday"?

Yes I'm serious, Phil Collins.

I have the album and love it - there's some great stuff. But it's lacking "Everyday", like the only good song from "Both Sides of the Story" (I think that's the album). I just had to waste a free Napster credit to get it.

P.S. If you respond "because Phil Collins and that song SUCK!" I won't think it's funny or original. Stop wasting your time.

Serious Hits...Live came out after the But Seriously tour. The Both Sides album did not come out until later.

But seriously, I've never even heard that song, and I'm a pretty hip dude (which may explain why I haven't heard it ). Was it a hit?

I'm not talking about the "Serious Hits....Live" album. The song that I am talking about came out before the "Serious Hits" album was released (by about 3 years).

Numanoid -- I don't know how big of a "hit" it was, but it was released as a single - that's the only way I would've heard it since I don't own any albums (except the hits ones). I wouldn't be surprised if it made top 20.

I'm quoting myself...man I rule.

Numanoid, the single went to #24 in the US and #15 in the UK. The album itself went to #13 in the US and, as expected, #1 in the UK.

I think you just answered your own question. Now if the album had been called Moderate Hits.

The biggest travesty is 'Dont Lose My Number' not being on PC's greatest hits album

"Everyday" went higher than other songs on the collection, most notably the title track from the aforementioned album, "Both Sides of the Story."

It's just called "Hits" not "Serious Hits", so you can see my confusion.

Hits CD missed quite a few:
'I Missed Again' from Face Value
'I Don't Care Anymore' from Hello, I Must Be Going
'Don't Lose My Number' and 'Who Said I Would' from No Jacket Required
'Do You Remember' and 'Hang In Long Enough' from But Seriously
'Everyday' from Both Sides

I'm just glad I Wish It Would Rain Down, Easy Lover, & Take Me Home were on there.

gh albums can't have all hit songs mainly due to the space a cd can hold (79 minutes), now if the phil collins cd is only 60 min for instance, then there is gotta be a reason for these songs to not be on the album.

It's 1.2 hours, so that's about 72 minutes. They had room for one more song

Good picks. China is also missing form Hello.

He's doing I Missed Again on the tour this time around, but no Hang in Long Enough which pisses me off.

And for you blokes in Europe, word is that Mike and the Mechanics is opening up...and since Chester and Daryl are in Phils band...
