Since Afflecker is out who should be DareDevil in a sequel

Since Mr Affleck has decided to "retire" from Action Films and do only Comedies, who should replace him if FOX decides to do a DareDevil sequel? I think they should give Jim Caviezel a shot, I think he could pull it off, but it would be kinda odd seeing him play both Jesus and The (Dare)Devil

Affleck said he wasn't too interested in making Daredevil anytime soon (unless of course Kevin Smith helped make it). I don't think he's given up on it at all, though; wait until he needs another paycheck...

PS Max Von Sydow played both Jesus and the Devil in his movie career. He also played Death... against him in a game of chess, anyway.

Who couldn't be Daredevil?

The only requirements I can think of are

A. You must be between 18-40 years of age.

B. Between 5'6-6'4

C. Under 300 pounds

D. White (Although after the last movie this might not be required.)

Jude Law should have been Matt Murdock from the start.

I question if they'll even make a sequel to DD -- it did good, but not great, and like Hulk, it's a question of diminishing returns for the most part I think. I wouldn't hold my breath, in order words.

I don't mind if Affleck returns, as long as the original writers/producers/director stay home.

Imagine what Scorsese could have done with the material in 1974... with DeNiro as Daredevil and ... say... Orson Welles as the Kingpin.

Actually, I think of what Proyas or Fincher could have done.

did this movie do well enough for a sequel? I like superhero movies as much as the next guy, but if any of the creative forces behind the original has a significant part in the sequel I'll skip it (but who knows, maybe they'll figure it out) and I don't mind if Affleck reprises his role or not, they could however do a lot better

I think Affleck did a fine job as DD. I would not be surprised to see him back in a year or two.

Maybe they could put Bullseye into the X-Men series since both are Fox films and it would follow the storyline from the comics and tie in Logan searching for his past.

With US and international gross plus DVD sales it made well over $200,000,000 while it cost was $122,000,000 with budget and marketing costs. Looks like it did ok even though not widely liked. If they could get a better story for a sequel, then they might have something here.
