How is Veronica Guerin, how bad is the Cat in the Hat?

Hey guys, gonna rent tomorrow and I was wondering if Veronica G. was worth getting with 21 Grams? Also is the Cat I.T.H. even worth seeing at all or is it THAT bad. Your thoughts?

Guerin's worth a rental consideration. Don't waste your time with Cat in the Hat.

Veronica Guerin is a solid rental if you like Bio-pics. Cat and The Hat is bad. Very Bad.

Thanks, looks like no Cat for me. Sorry that was in the wrong forum, I never post on movies and their merits.

CITH was one of the worst (Boring) movies I have seen in a long time. And some of the humor did not belong in the movie, I am sure that Dr. Suess roled over in his grave when he saw what they did to his story.

It should have been a direct to video movie, all of us who took our kids to see should have received a refund.

I am not sure why Cat in The Hat is getting such bad rep. I went to see it at the theater with my wife and my son. We all liked it a lot. In fact I went out and bought it today. I thought it was a very good movie. Funny for kids and funny for adults. I sure remember a lot of people laughing at the theater we saw it. So it was not just me.

Cat is crap. If Dr. Seuss were still alive, this movie and its degredation of his work would've killed him for sure.

I would atleast say to watch it for yourself and then judge. It is not "crap" that you could not sit through it and watch it.

It was alright. Cute kid movie. Grinch was much better but this movie isn't un-watchable.

I think is just one of those kids movies that most adults can't get into. Other than a few tasteless jokes that aren't really appropriate for at least my kids(well the one who is old enough to get the references that were being made). It just didn't cross generations the way the Grinch did. It annoyed me to an extent but i didn't mind it too much. I did buy it for my kids today, just it keeps them entertained.

I too am guilty to have liked TCITH. Yes, I also bought it. I was so ready to hate this movie when I went to see it in theatres after hearing all the bad things about it. But I was laughing alot and so were the people in my group and alot of other people in the theatre. I say rent it anyway. Who knows? It might be a guilty pleasure.
