was the slapshot one 2 separate cases packaged together, or a digipak like the American graffiti and Conan?

I have only seen stores price drop the original 2 separete case version , I think there will be a new digipak when they sell the rest of the 2 pack.

Is the American Graffitti disc the same as the seperate release as far as A/V quality?
