Possible Star Wars Trilogy DVD packaging!!!

A company known as the Neuron Syndicate recently posted the artwork for the Star Wars Trilogy which stars Harrison Ford as the legendary Han Solo. The company is in charge of producing the packaging for the four-disc set, so this looks pretty official. Although the images were only up on the company website for a short period of time, a few of our readers kindly emailed them over to us. There are three different package designs in total. A Imperial Collection, a Final Conflict set (with good old Darth himself) and the rather ugly Jedi vs Dark Side set. Whether or not all three of these designs will be available in September is still unclear. Naturally, we'll bring you confirmation on this as soon as we get it. Stay tuned.

That looks like 3 different boxes, what's the deal? Is this like a limited time collector's edition (ala Resevoir Dogs)?

That first set looks like it would be more suited for an OT release than the SE release.

Well...one can dream.

The third one is discussed and linked to on Page 8. It looks like the poster on Page 9 just put up the wrong image.

But, if you look at the thread title, it is the "ONE AND ONLY" thread. That is, put your Star Wars information in there... don't start a new thread.

Otherwise, we're going to have dozens of threads all talking about the same release and duplicating information.

Well then, sounds like a great reason to create a totally different thread about it if I don't say so myself. Oh forget actually posting that one extra picture in the already existing thread.

Way to go on being your own man and not letting society hold you back! You're the man now dawg!

Thanks for the post man, excellent info and pics. Don't like the darth box, looks like lego. Imperial collection looks good, I'll get that one.

Thanks for this thread. The "Official" SV thread has gotten redundant, so I, like the others, appreciate this one, and hope that it doesn't get locked for being a dup.

I like the DV one or the Imperial one, but definately not the third.

Same people that did AQ, so expectations are high.

The problem with allowing dup threads like this is that they tend to grow. Very soon you'll have:

"Any reviews for Star Wars yet?"
"Star Wars: RUMORED EXTRAS!!!"
"Star Wars extras confirmed?"
"Star Wars -- anyone find it early?"
"Is Star Wars the original or SE? (Or something else)?"
"Luca$ sux! Star Wars packaging is flimsy!"

etc. etc.

Then the same people who think this thread is "Cool" will be bitching that the entire front page of DVDTalk is filled with Star Wars threads.

Starting a new thread for each piece of SW news/question just will not work. Hence the reason why Geoff (you know, the guy who runs the place?) created a One-and-Only thread.

It's three. The last two are obviously two sides of the same box.

I'd go with the first one, with a the Vader helmet being #2...

Don't really like the last.

From: You have moved into a dark place. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
I'm thinking these are preliminary artwork. They came from the home page of the company that did the Alien Quadrilogy box. So it's possible they could have been hired to do the box set for this.

Hey, maybe we'll get a big five foot long foldout for Star Wars too! Wouldn't that be great.
