A little too flashy for me. It looks hella complicated. I just want to ge to the discs!
Well anyways it looks like those might be some collectors edition boxes because they clearly look too big for 4 discs, epecially the last one.

Oh man. I was just surfing around StarWars.com and found this image. They took it down, but I managed to save a copy before it was gone. It looks like this is the preliminary packaging:

Now I'm confused. Are you being sarcastic or are those actual alternate packaging pics.

I'd like that too. It would've been nicer if the three films were released as two discs each so that they'd *really* match up with the Prequels, but as long as they don't do some kind of crappy digipak, I'll be happy with the packaging.

From Digital Bits.com:
First of all, we've spoken with those in the know (you'll have to trust us on this) and have learned that the Star Wars DVD box art that's been circulating around lately is "work in progress" ONLY stuff that should NEVER have leaked on the Net. These are apparently very early concepts, and the final packaging is likely to be quite different. So while it's sort of the real deal, it's really not if you get our meaning. Take that as you will. We will, of course, post the official box art as soon as it's released by Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox.

Yeah, they probably floated it out there to see what the reaction would be at sites like this.
For the record, if anyone from LucasFilm is reading: we don't like them. We want a four keepcase set like the Indy box.
I thank you.

Not to be contrary, but some of us do like them. They would make a nice "limited edition" set.

From these threads, those that like them seem to be in the minority. Most DVD fans seem to prefer keepcases to cardboard and cheap brittle plastic cases that can't be changed out if the plastic snaps break.
