Early Details: The Human Stain

Hey

Mirimax have sent over early artwork for The Human Stain which stars Anthony Hopkins, Nicole Kidman and Ed Harris. No other details have been released yet I'm afraid, although I imagine it'll arrive in May/June time.

Hmm. Would you buy an Anthony Hopkins film described as "HOT!"?

Yup, unfortunately I saw it. Except for one great scene, it was pretty dismal - have to agree with the majority of critics on this one. Some solid acting, but that's not enough to make it a rewarding experience.

Don't insult Maltin!

I didn;t see this, but I love his opinion on "Bill."

Looking forward to this one. I missed it in the theaters but read the book, and while the casting at first blush seemed a bit odd to me, I'm terribly interested to see how the choices for the two leads play out against the weighty content of Roth's novel. It might just be that the casting of Hopkins is a stroke of genius, in that it reinforces one of the central tenets of the story (I won't spoil it, but it has to do with a range of notions concerning identity).
