'Love Actually' (soundtrack) US/UK album differences
I found this interesting having seen the movie the second time this week with my family that the soundtrack exists in two very different versions:
one, the US version:
1. Kelly Clarkson - The Trouble With Love Is
2. Dido - Here With Me
3. Maroon 5 - Sweetest Goodbye/Sunday Morning
4. Norah Jones - Turn Me On
5. Wyclef Jean - Take Me As I Am (feat. Sharissa)
6. Eva Cassidy - Songbird
7. The Calling - Wherever You Will Go
8. The Pointer Sisters - Jump (For My Love)
9. Joni Mitchell - Both Sides Now
10. Lynden David Hall - All You Need Is Love
11. The Beach Boys - God Only Knows
12. Texas - I’ll See It Through
13. Sugababes - Too Lost In You
14. Craig Armstrong - Glasgow Love Theme
The UK version:
1. Jump (for My Love) - Girls Aloud
2. Too Lost In You - Sugababes (Soundtrack Version)
3. The Trouble With Love Is - Kelly clarkson
4. Here With Me - Dido
5. Christmas Is All Around - Billy Mack
6. Turn Me On - Norah Jones
7. Songbird - Eva Cassidy
8. Sweetest Goodbye - Maroon 5
9. Wherever You WIll Go - The Calling
10. I'll See It Through - Texas
11. Both Sides Now - Joni Mitchell
12. White Christmas - Otis Redding
13. Take Me As I Am - Sharissa
14. All I Want For Christmas Is You - Olivia Olson
15. God Only Knows - the Beach Boys
16. All You Need Is Love - Lynden David Hall
17. Sometimes - Gabrielle
18. Glasgow Love theme - Craig Armstrong
19. PM's Love theme - Craig Armstrong
20. Portugese Love theme - Craig Armstrong
The most noticeable ommission from the US version is the "Christmas is All Around" (which I understand is actually going to be released in the UK as a legitimate "Christmas" CD-Single) and "All I Want for Christmas Is You" - maybe this is for legal reasons, but I find it amazing that for someone who would want all the music from the motion picture, the US consumers are getting a raw deal, however the US version does retain the original Pointer Sister's song "Jump (For My Love)"

Doesn't the US version include Christmas is All Around and All I Want for Christmas Is You, as bouns (hidden) tracks?
Edited to Add:
From a Amazon Review:
BONUS TRACKS!!!!!
15. "White Christmas" (Otis Redding): CLASSIC Christmas song with that great Otis Redding sound.
16. "Christmas Is All Around Me"(Billy Mack): This song plays several times during the movie and it's such a funny/cute song and you'll see why when you view the movie.
17. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (Olivia Olson): This young girl sings this Mariah Carey classic tune during the movie and it's such a cute scene. She has an angelic voice.
All in all, AMAZING soundtrack, do not miss out on these great songs! Make sure you get the cd that includes the bonus tracks.

I don't know the answer by the way but I have heard that some UK CDs have more tracks to discourage consumers ordering the - often cheaper - overseas versions.
I suppose it is open to you to import the UK version to the US.
Maybe it is all market forces and you get what you pay for.

well who knew, guess I was wrong.
in terms of UK mass consumer manipulation, the current trend of re-issuing current albums four month's later with either a bonus DVD or second CD with b-sides/live tracks/remixes is getting ridiculous, this year I have bought the UK editions of the Polyphonic Spree, Grandaddy, and Feeder albums with bonus material.
