Picture fading in and out, don't know why
Here's the set-up:
I have a TV, VCR, cable box, and DVD player hooked up. The TV has no A/V inputs, so, the cable box goes from the wall to the VCR, then to the TV. The DVD player goes to the VCR, then into the TV. The VCR is connected directly to the TV, via cable wires.
The pictures on many (but not all) of the DVDs I watch, fade in and out, going from normal, to very dark, making it difficult to see what is going on.
What could be causing the problem, and any possible ways around it?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

With the DVD player hooked to the VCR the Macrovision copyprotection kicks in because it thinks you're tryingto record from the DVD player. This causes the image to fade in and out. Go buy a decent switch box with a RF out to plug them all into individually.
