i am more often than not adamantly against the release of sequels to movies that i think were well to begin with. i was curious about peoples' thoughts about some upcoming sequels as well. i listed some below, please post additions and i will edit this post to include them.

okay my take on the whole thing is avoid sequels whenever possible. the only ones on the list i am looking forward to are lotr and star wars (duh). aside from those 2 he only one i would go out of my way to watch is shanghai knights. many of the movies are in such preproduction that there is no idea what to expect, yet, but as it stands, my outlook is bleak.

Exorcist :The Beginning......could be interesting with Shrader's involvement.
Seven -Horrible idea. Highly,highly doubtful Fincher would involve himself with crap like this (then again he's doing Mission Impossible 2
...though he'll probably make the best film of the series).Freeman is turning into a slut.

Matrix Sequels- Hype aside, these should be interesting. Though the 'pop culture burn out' syndrome comes into play.

X-Men 2...I'm thinking/hoping this may eclipse the first one.
Episode3: Lucas has one final chance to deliver the goods....we can only hope it's appropriately 'dark' No cop-outs.
ROTK:......I'm betting this will be superb. Just a hunch.

Hard to say since most of them, we haven't seen or heard anything about. Their respective marketing machine, director, cast...are not yet announced, but with time we will be able to judge them better. For now I predict something like...

i'll step in with t2. liked it much better than the original. i'd also go with godfather 2, but many say one, so i may be in the minority here.

after doing some reading i think i may be more interested in x-men 2. other than that i am surprised at the originals that were bashed. meet the parents is funny.

I hope they'll make another Alien movie but not "Alien 5" I want a prequel like what was intended from the start.

The transportation of the Alien/weapon in an interplanetary war. When the space craft crashes hundreds of the aliens escape and killing off most of the crew of the ship (standard story) . The creatures that were commanding the ship would also be giants in comparison to Humans. The aliens would appear much smaller in comparison to the commanding creatures, and there would also be many more aliens to destroy. The aliens attacking I think would looking very cool if the were to swarm the commanding creatures like 'flies on excrement'.

Also this could lead to the Alien Vs. Predator Movie by having the Commanding creatures battling a Planet of 'Predators' and taking their Alien/Weapon into the planet for battle. and aliens fight predators. I think they can both write themselves.

I now realize I've gone a bit off topic with instead of just stating you need to Add Alien Vs. Predator to the list. give entire outlines to movies.

As a horror fan, I'm anxious for this one. I mean, Jason and Freddy, were among some of the first horror flicks I've seen, and scared the hell out of me as a kid. I'm gonna have a blast seeing what happens in this flick. Not sure if it's gonna be total crap or not, but I will definitely see this one.
