Is anyone going to the Sneak Previews Saturday & Sunday of "Kangaroo Jack"?
Is anyone going to see this movie this weekend? Why is Jerry Bruckheimer producing it? Just seeing the ads make me want to
Is this really a family movie? Why am I reminded of "Snow Dogs" from last year? What's the plot? Who is the target audience for this movie?
So is anyone going to see this movie at the sneak previews this weekend or pass? Will anybody here even see it when it hits theaters? Could this movie get nominated for the Razzies next year?

I have no idea who the target audience for this one is. I saw the trailer before Harry Potter and that movie has a pretty broad demographic, but it's primarily a kid's movie, I guess. As to will anybody see it? I am sure they will...families will take their kids to see it. I have no desire to see it, not even in a drunken stupor.

Christopher Walken isn't too choosy over his film roles.

I'm surprised they are having sneaks for this flick... maybe it is good, or at least the Studio thinks it will have decent word of mouth...becuase usually if you have a terrible movie, you hide it until release day...you don't have sneaks for it...

I also saw the trailer in front of Harry Potter. It is easily the worst trailer (that I have seen) since Inspector Gadget. When the trailer ended, I whispered to my family (who came with me to see HP), "What the hell was that?"
No, I won't be seeing it. I'm planing on seeing Adaptation (if it comes to the local theater).

I think it's safe to say that the people who post to this forum are not the intended audience. On the other hand, I have a 5-year old and 3-year old who are quite excited to see it.
Also, my kids are impressed by the fact that the movie is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, er I mean that it has a funny kangaroo in it. I guess Bruckheimer's name is supposed to make me feel better as I'm heading into the theater, that there's a chance that the kangaroo will end up in car chase with some huge explosions.

But then today I heard that the film (as originally shot) tested horribly, so they went back and made the kangaroo speak and dance in hope of capturing a younger audience.
I don't know if it's true or not, but from just the 30-second snippets I've seen, it seems possible. Anybody know the truth on this?
(Sorry if this had been discussed already, I did a search and didn't see it mentioned anywhere)

I dont know guys - I think you might be too harsh on the film. Right now at Rotton Tomatoes, it's got a 50% fresh/rotten rating. I mean sure it's only TWO reviews right now, but the numbers dont lie!

Seeing the trailer for this (a comedy...produced by Bruckheimer...G-d save us....) I whispered to my friend "now I begin to understand why the terrorists hate us."
