And i'm not just talking about online. Lemme explain.

Last nite I was in my local grocery store checking out the new Aaliyah disc. The package stated there was a bonus DVD with all of her videos.

Exactly how many and what are those??

Does it include the video for "Journey To the Past" from Anastasia? Does it include the remix for "The One I Gave My Heart To"? What if my definiton of the word ALL differs from theirs? Can I return it if i'm not happy?

But it's not just Aaliyah's disc. I've seen people inquiring about Whitney, No Doubt & the Foos in here. I'm guessing the record companies think we'll buy the disc regardless after seeing the words "bonus DVD" on the label?

And how can a consumer make an informed purchase online if the etailer doesn't list the bonus material?

I'm not buying any CD based on a "Bonus DVD" until I find out more about it. Example: George Harrison's "Brainwashed," which for an extra $10! included a DVD in a special edition. Turns out the DVD is an under 10-minute program. Not that special IMHO. Fortunately I just bought the regular cheaper CD on that one, although I found out later that the bonus edition was so bogus. A bonus DVD needs to include a little more than one video to be noteworthy IMHO. The Aaliyah one sounds like a good buy, but it really would help if the studios actually told you what was ON the discs before you bought them!
