Do you ever listen to your Sat/Cable music channels?
I just picked up Directv this week and some of the music channels aren't that bad. Not sure I'll listen to them much, but it's funny that with ALL those channels available, the two I want most (New Wave & Americana) cost extra... not willing to pay the next tier. Oh well.

My wife will put it on the Acid Jazz station when she's doing things around the house. She usually has a hard time figuring out what CDs to listen too from my collection, so this is just easier. The stations aren't all that bad either.

Maybe an hour or two per month.
What package with DirectTV do you have? I have the Opcion Ultra Especial (one of the Spanish packages, but it has a lot of English channels).

From: Sonoran Desert; a place where it doesn't matter whether or not one can pronounce Donnacha.
I listened to it frequently when the dish was first in place. Discovered a few cool bands I hadn't heard of. Othertimes I used it to help me get to sleep. There's something odd about uninterrupted music (neither by DJ or commercials) that relaxes me to sleep.
Haven't listened to it much in awhile though.

I listen to "Music Choice" through my digital cable all the time. The New Wave channel is excellent, great varied selection. Last month they had a channel devoted to "Old School Rap" that I listened to a lot.

If I'm reading in the same room as the TV I'll sometimes turn on what used to be the "Progressive" channel for background noise. It was recently renamed "Adult Alternative" but I prefer the 'progressive' label much better.

I listen to them.
We have Satt. TV in our breakroom but of course some of the channels are blocked. So no Metal, Hardcore rap, and few other music channels are blocked also. But they do have Old School Rap open...Hmmm

Never have for more than a couple of minutes. I'm not that into listening to the radio (which this essentially is) when I'm home, and have lots of music of my own I can listen to.

I haven't listened to any of them in months. At least a third of the stations on our cable system are some flavor of latin music, which is very odd because of the demographics in this area (second highest elderly population in the state, lowest hispanic). Plus, I never listen to music in the room where the digital cable comes in, so they're pretty much a waste for me.
