The Mentalist - New Show

A mentalist turned private investigator uses his skills to help the police

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1196946/

Pilot ep is on the net in the usual places

Definitely so much more than a Psych rip off

Simon Baker leads a great cast. He is awesome in the pilot episode

If this show is picked up, it already has a season pass from me

Nice to see Amanda Righetti back on TV again.

The title is awful, sounded very pretentious, but the pilot episode was above average, but not quite must-see TV for me (even with both Robin Tunney and Amanda Righetti in the cast).

The liked the pilot but I agree the title is kind of dumb.

I'm just now seeing the commercials for this and I'm attracted to it because it looks different and the dialogue looks interesting. The cases in particular seem to focus on more than just the stab and run away types that you see too often.

I'm not sure why they went with that name, The Mentalist, it doesn't bother me really. It should have some meaning that they'll reveal on the pilot. Anyone else see any previews or hear any news about this show?

Sounds like Psych without the fun. I'll watch an ep online, but there's way too much new stuff this season to me to DVR it.

where do you guys come with these crazy pictures...

I'll probably end up watching it online too because I'm barely at home to watch any TV and also CBS has a really good track record with putting their shows on their website. The show looks like it'll have a lot of twists.

I remember the main character from The Devil Wears Prada, he was pretty scummy then but its cool to see him as a genius detective in this.
