That's a good timeslot for Knight Rider. I was also pleased they hired Gary Scott Thompson as showrunner. Will definitely be tuning in on Wednesday's at 8pm.
I heard Crusoe is a European production. Who the hell is on that show?
I am also pleased to see Friday Night Lights and Medium return in midseason.
I am worried about Life's new timeslot. It was barely getting over 6M viewers on Wednesday's at 10pm.

Life has a really niche fanbase and putting it on Friday's at 10pm won't help it. If Las Vegas could only get 6-7M viewers, what makes them think Life will do any better?

Scrubs could not do any worse for ABC than Carpoolers and the other sitcoms.
I like that timeslot for Knight Rider. Glad they're not putting it on Fridays (yet).

NBC isn't going to be winning me back as a viewer with a heap of shit like that. I'll check out the spinoff to The Office if it actually makes it to air (see the Gilmore Girls and OC spinoffs for why I put it that way).
Of course, I saw this coming when they actually canned Kevin Reilly instead of some of the other idiots running around their HQ. Maybe Reilly can make something good happen at Fox.

The truth of the matter is that I'm watching less and less network TV these days. I think it's down to Heroes, the NBC Thursday comedies (Reilly is responsible for all 3), SNL, Lost, and The Unit. I'm trying hard to think of anything else I watch on network, but nothing comes to mind.
ETA: The show I missed is Everybody Hates Chris. What an under-appreciated show, even by its fans. Pity.
ETA2: I also neglected Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, but they're still practically freshmen in my book.

NBC has 5 episodes that are already shot. These will probably start airing sometime in April. However, they won’t let us complete our order which was for 18 episodes (we only finished 11 before the strike). So we won’t be writing any new episodes for NBC. Season 7 ends when those episodes air. ABC will air us in the fall, and we start a new 18 episodes for them. Hope I answered all your questions.

I don't consider The Unit, the only show I watch on CBS I can think of, to be a procedural.

What makes NBC's lineup a "pile of shit"?

I see absolutely nothing new of interest other than a spin off they may get off the ground of a show I really like. Even that is apparently not a fall launch even though it seemed to have been announced forever ago. I used to be Mr. NBC -- I barely watched anything off that network. This lineup is a pale imitation of that NBC and is the second time in two years they have come up really weak. Coincidentally, they parted ways with Kevin Reilly right about the time of the announcement of the 2007-2008 schedule.
Kevin Reilly is as close to my TV hero as executives come. He had a hand in Newsradio, The Sopranos, The Shield, Nip/Tuck, 30 Rock, The Office, Studio 60, My Name Is Earl, ER, and Just Shoot Me. What the hell has Jeff Zucker ever done besides admirably beat colon cancer (and I mean that seriously -- that dude has my respect for the way he dealt with that disease)? What on Earth creatively has the guy they replaced Reilly with done? The industry buzz seems to be that NBC way overspent on Sunday Night Football and is letting the rest of the schedule suffer for it. This dreck sure seems to support that proposition.

I hope they dont take any of the cast members off the "The Office" to be in this new spinoff, It would wreck the show, the cast works perfectly together, I dont want anyone to leave for a spinoff. Have bad feelings though as the Office is my favorite show ever, I dont want NBC to screw it up

This was on the local Austin American Statesmen website.
The good news, according to NBC entertainment chief Ben Silverman, is that the Austin-based drama series “Friday Night Lights” has been renewed for a third season.
But NBC is holding the show until midseason, adding it to the schedule in February, following the Super Bowl. It will air 8 p.m. Fridays.
Subscribers to DirectTV, however, can see the 13 new episodes sooner, four months sooner to be exact. Thanks to a production deal that includes exclusive first-run on the satellite service, DirectTV will debut “FNL” on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
That means nonsatellite folks will have to go all summer and fall without our Dillon Panthers — an especially difficult task in the fall, when Texan minds turn to football.
But late is better than not at all, so we can look forward to seeing all our favorite “FNL” cast members lined up for coffee at Jo’s on South Congress Avenue in a couple of months when they return … just in time for blazing heat to accompany filming those grueling football scenes.

Unless they're bringing Dr. Greene back from the dead; "ER" really needs to end.
I doubt "Scrubs" will gain a huge audience moving to ABC, but I'm glad it's finally moving. NBC has treated the show like garbage for 7 years. I'm glad the brilliant "30 Rock" will be back for a third season and even though it isn't that popular around here anymore; I'm glad "My Name is Earl" is coming back too.
I liked "Life" last season, but it won't last. If "Las Vegas" couldn't last on Fridays; "Life" sure as hell won't either. Also, it's good that they're doing another "The Celebrity Apprentice". It good decent ratings for NBC the first time around, so I figured they'd do it again. I wonder who the "celebrities" will be this time around?
I might check out some of the new shows as well, and I'll be watching "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: SVU" again this season. Hopefully NBC will let the USA network renew "Law & Order: CI" as well.
