24 Season 6------December 4, 2007

The season from hell will get it's release this December. The completist in me will get it and also the extras look fantastic. Hopefully the commentaries will shed some light on the season's mishaps.....Also intrigued about the Season finale alternate ending.

Alternate ending? This should be interesting, though I hope it isn't any of the ones we all thought was happening last year. At least this one is LOADED with extras, and some commentary from Keifer.

A weak season? Yes. I'll still buy it, because a lot of the episodes from last season had some great replay value(The first four hours, the last two-three, and some spotty ones here and there throughout the season). Can't wait to see a Season 7 preview as well!

I'm in!

I believe the 10pm-11pm episode with commentary by David Fury and Bryan Spicer was the episode that everyone thought kicked ass mid-season.

Considering Season 7 is still 6 days away from principal photography, I doubt they will be able to include some type of Prequel for this DVD without it hindering production.

Well, each other season's 'prequel' has not had any real substance to it. For example, in the Season 5 prequel, there was hinting of someone coming after Chloe and watching her. While it didn't really tell much, we now know that the someone going after her(and others) was a primary reason season 5 was so good.

Don't expect a WHOLE lot, and if it is good, it will probably be added in RIGHT before the DVD is out.

I have all five so why stop now, to bad they couldn't include the "24" simpsons spoof in the extras. Thats an incredible amount of extras since most people thought season 6 sucked.

Was this season that bad? All I saw were the 1st 4 episodes on that DVD they released, and it seemed ok.

The first 4 were some of the best the show has ever had....the rest is utter crap. With some good spots here and there, it was an overall pile of crap. Literally, EVERY possible storyline or story arch was reused in Season 6, and I mean EVERY one possible. I can't remember which ones were which, but for the most part, Season 6 was pretty weak.

I take back what I said...it wasn't really crap...just terrible '24'. That being said, crappy 24 is better than most everything else. Is it worth the $60? Probably not. But I would definitely buy it down the road. Like I said, there is a lot of replay value to some episodes, and some episodes you won't even watch the whole episode at all. The last couple of hours, and a couple hours in the middle of the season were really good as well.

Too bad that "Rookie" online thing isn't included. And "Day Zero" cartoon.

Pretty much in the same boat, but I'm definitely waiting for a deal/don't feel the need to get it on release date

Unfortunately, unless they reshoot the entire 6th season as a special feature, I'll have to take a pass.

Honestly, this season just about killed off the entire show for me.

The 4 episode premiere story arc and the 10pm-11pm hour along with the shit load of special features are enough for me to get this one. Honestly, this seems like the most jammed packed 24 DVD since season 2.

For the last few seasons I've ignored the show on tv, opting instead to buy the dvds and watch them more 'marathon-style' over a couple of days. From what everyone has said in this forum over the last few months, I'm pretty well convinced I'll wait til it drops down to the $20 mark before I take a look.

I think this season will play a lot better, DVD marathon style, than it did on TV.

I was really considering saying something very similar to that.

Actually, I have to ask: where's the Fox News Alert at the bottom of the cover? It's very obvious this is a Fox show, and it has Jack Bauer draped over an American flag. Bill O'Reilly already has HIS copy pre-ordered, do you?

“24” Season 6: Inside the Writer’s Room featurette
why do I picture this being a half hour of writers shrugging and throwing darts?

To complete my set, I will get this eventually when it hits around 10-15 bucks, but no more than that.

Being a completest myself, I'm doing the opposite by not only not buying this, but getting rid of all the previous seasons I own. They don't stand up to repeat viewing anyways, and it's not like you can watch just one episode - you kinda have to watch a whole season.
