Huh, well look at that. Now that's a price I'll double-up for! Thanks, aggressivemx.

Anything different on the content, or it's all about the packaging?

Just a packaging deal. It'll probably be the exact same discs as the original keepcase.

Can't justify double-dipping JUST for the packaging.

The steelbooks are of great compliment to the X-Men Last Stand Target Tin Exclusive

well i found it, but it is only a pic somewhat hidden between the others. i'm not sure they can pricematch without seeing a description.

is there any way to confirm that the discs in the steelbooks are the same as in the older editions?

i would like to get the steelbook x2 and also the steelbook fight club that came out... but i already have x2 and i'm not sure if i like the old fight club 2-disc packaging better or the steelbook fight club packaging better. knowing that choosing either gives me the same discs/special features or not may sway me one way or the other

All the steelbook dvds are the same as the already existing editions.

Then just sell us the steelbooks individually for all of those who already have these two disc sets. I bet many people would pay 5-10 bucks per steelbook to not have to buy a second set of discs.

Swung by the local K-mart while searching for some garage storage options and picked up the circular. Then took the ad over to Best Buy across the street and PMed to K-Mart's pricing for the RZ points. $6.99 + tax.

The X2 discs, after opening both of the sets up, are the EXACT same (Wolverine on Disc 1, Deathstrike on Disc 2, both the dark navy disc art with the same chapter listing included). The only real difference is a "Collect Them All" leaflet with the coverart for a few of the other steelbooks printed atop.

Nice looking set, and a good upgrade if your current set "needs" upgrading.

xage,

Your steelbook collection of X-Men looks very impressive. Could you please tell me when the X-Men 1.5 steelbook was released? I searched my local BB but could only find X2. Thanks.

Thanks. I think the XMen 1.5 was released last Tuesday (only at Bestbuy) without advertisement. I just got it this day (after reading this thread last night)

I suggest browse around the scifi section of Bestbuy or a dvd stand at the endcaps which showcase steelbooks.

scott1598, so both K-Mart and Best Buy have the steelbook of X-Men 2?

dunno about k-mart, but BB has had them out since last tuesday. only about 2 per title and most weren't there today, perhaps they'll put more out for tomorrow, but they had 2 X2's today.
