My dad's getting ready to buy his first HDTV, and he's going to need a decent HDMI cable (just a few feet long will do), and the prices at Circuit City seemed really expensive.

Can anyone recommend some options for me?

I can't see spending an extra $10 for netting around the cable.

it's also thicker (24awg) versus the one above that's 28awg. I doubt it would matter between the two unless over a long distance.

Well, I came in here looking for a good price on an HDMI cable, and a Family Guy episode broke out

ok, just to be different, big lots carries hdmi wires in their electronic dept with all the wires for about 12 bucks, 6 ft run, at least the one here. Found it the day after i had bought cables from monocable though. Or you can just buy an oppo player and it comes with one.

i just bought a 4 foot monster cable yesterday.

i got it for 34.77.

Nice, that is the cost of a comparable monoprice cable with only having to pay another $17 for the name monster printed on it (and only 2' shorter)!

But, but, it has pretty words on it all in one pretty, next-to-impossible-to-open, package.....
