Looking for good deal on HDMI cable

My dad's getting ready to buy his first HDTV, and he's going to need a decent HDMI cable (just a few feet long will do), and the prices at Circuit City seemed really expensive.

Can anyone recommend some options for me?

I glanced a MonoPrice.com earlier today.

Thanks for the help!

Fifth on Monoprice. Other places may be just as good, but I don't have time to look for them. They better come tell me they can match or beat Monoprice on cost and quality; otherwise, I'm not wasting my time.

I am thinking about these for myself:

I can't see spending an extra $10 for netting around the cable.

it's also thicker (24awg) versus the one above that's 28awg. I doubt it would matter between the two unless over a long distance.

Yeah, he was showing a 6' cable, so the losses are negligible.

I can't believe no one has mentioned monoprice.com yet. It's like, totally ridiculous.

I have got cables from them before, but has anyone bought the LCD/Plasma wall mounts? What do you think if you have, and if not where do you buy them from?

I am suprised at all the Monster references. A guy on another board recommended monoprice.com.

Seems too good to be true though, especially since noone else seems to know of them.

ok, just to be different, big lots carries hdmi wires in their electronic dept with all the wires for about 12 bucks, 6 ft run, at least the one here. Found it the day after i had bought cables from monocable though. Or you can just buy an oppo player and it comes with one.

you need to find a way to get access to a best buy employee discount.

i just bought a 4 foot monster cable yesterday.
the retail price was 119.99.
i got it for 34.77.

Nice, that is the cost of a comparable monoprice cable with only having to pay another $17 for the name monster printed on it (and only 2' shorter)!

But, but, it has pretty words on it all in one pretty, next-to-impossible-to-open, package.....
