When Vinyard goes to prison, why does he get angry at the other white inmates? Was it because they were selling marijuana to the black and mexican inmates and he wanted the whites to be against them or was it also because they acted like skinheads but didn't act like it? Thanks!

Probably because his so called friends were dealing with the other inmates (who he didn't like). It also sounds that he was getting too preachy about his beliefs.
