Wonder if they'll promote it with the Collateral DVD release? That'd be my guess..

If you're region-free, there's a Japanese disc with DTS sound (which the upcoming Warner Bros. SE is guaranteed to not have).

Otherwise.... well, you're screwed.

A little new info on the 2-disc Heat SE

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald...es/9323945.htm

• The heat is on: Whatever happened to that super-deluxe edition of Michael Mann's Heat that was rumored to be in the works at Warner Home Video? According to the director, the DVD is finished and ready to go, but the studio has apparently decided to wait until next year, possibly to coincide with the DVD release of Mann's latest movie, Collateral. ''They did a tremendous amount of work on it,'' Mann says. ``They did an hour-long documentary in which they interviewed me, Al Pacino -- everybody.''

What a tease.

"Yeah we finished it, but were not releasing it anytime soon."

If WB really wanted to cross promote Collateral, they should have released the Heat SE last Tuesday and included a free movie ticket for Collateral.

I would go out on a huge limb and guess that those will be released next June. Just a wild guess
