In no particular order, and since I love Tool more than anything else they make multiple appearances on this list 
Orestes: a perfect circle - The way Maynard sings on this track just makes my hair stand up on my arms, possibly my favorite song of all time.
4 degrees: Tool - Absolutely love the bass line and Vocals on this track!
Third Eye: Tool - Tons of psychedelic memories for me on this song, and a song I spent way to much time trying to figure out!
Paradise City: Guns N' Roses - What can I say? Awesome awesome song. I think I listened to this song and Appetite for 6 straight months listening to nothing else.
One: Metallica - Just love everything about this song, from the vocals, ther double bass, guitar solo...awesome song!
The Grudge: Tool - It had been an extremely long break for Tool between Lateralus & Aenima. First time I heard this song I knew Tool was back and better than ever!!
Pour Some Sugar On Me: Def Leppard - I think this song started my craze for the hair bands phase back in the day
The Love Thieves: Depeche Mode - A song that has tons of memories for me. love the guitar in this song!
No Quarter: Tool - Amazing cover of an already awesome song. Tool takes a Zep song and makes it their own. The song starts off slow and just continues to build to a crazy end. Possibly my favorite Tool song.
Welcome To The Fold: Filter - Another song with tons of good memories for me.

There are too many damn songs to remember, but anyways here are 10 of them(in no particular order):
Would?-Alice in Chains: Great song from one of the most underrated bands ever. Layne Staley was a great singer and his influence in music today is undeniable.
The End-The Doors: One of the Doors most controversial songs and possibly their best. great song.
Come as you Are-Nirvana: Moody and haunting, one of Nirvana's more toned down tracks is in my opinion their best song.
Another Brick in the Wall-Pink Floyd: A Classic song from one of the great bands of all time. this song should be on everyone's top 10 in my opinion.
Hey You-Pink Floyd: Another great Floyd song. Great guitar work and amazing vocals.
Street Spirit-Radiohead: Solid song, great vocals too.
Parabol/Parabola-Tool: Amazing, it's really 2 songs but I count it as one. Hearing this song live gives me goosebumps.
Sober-Tool: Masterpiece, what else can I say. Tool can do no wrong :P
I wanna be sedated-The Ramones: Great Punk tune. Maybe not one of the ramones best songs but it is my favorite.
Killing in the name of-Rage Against The Machine: This song kicks some serious ass. Great guitar work and awesome energy in this song.

DVD Talk Ultimate Edition
This is a hard list to choose, and anything I post is subject to change many many times based on mood. Here's the first 10 songs I can think of that have a special hold on me.
1. Something In The Way She Moves - this is James Taylor's greatest song, IMO.
2. November Rain - G & R
3. Stairway to Heaven - Zeppelin
4. Free Bird - Skynyrd
5. One - Metallica
These last four can get me going and deep into the song almost like no other song can. Something about songs that start out slow and build up in intensity over an 8-10 minute span are great.
6. Mars, The Bringer of War - Gustav Holst
7. Jupiter, The Bringer of Jollity - Gustav Holst
These two are the basis of many of those blockbuster movie scores out there we know. Again, the intensity of these sounds send chills down my spine.
8. The Wind - Cat Stevens
Hard to say why I like this one so much. I just do.
9. Under Your Spell - Amber Benson (from Buffy: OMWF)
Amber has an amazing voice, and as weird as it may feel to rank a song from a tv show so high, there's just something about the song that gets me every time. Maybe it's because of what happens later on in the season.
10. Time - Pink Floyd
This song is like my anti-anthem, the one song I can listen to as an example of what I never want my life to become. "Time spent lying in the sunshine, staying on to watch the rain; you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find, 10 years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you've missed the starting gun."

Vow - Garbage
First song I ever heard by this band and still one of my very favorites.
Karma Police - Radiohead
The opening piano sequence albeit simple is great for setting the mood of the song and the whole album (even though it is in the middle of the album)
The Box - Orbital
I can't really describe it except for calling it a masterpiece of beats.
Rockin Chair - Oasis
Sappy, sentimal song from a Beatles knockoff. I still like it.
Tribe Called Quest - Scenario
Still has to be one of the best rap "songs" of all time. "Rawr, Rawr like a dungeon dragon."
Born Slippy - Underworld
If I had theme music, this would be it.
Ash - Kung Fu
Good ol' mindless fun.
I Hate Rock and Roll - Jesus and Mary Chain
Great song by an awesome band.
