I am all over that. Gonna try to snag one for my own tomorrow. How fast do these Mondo posters sell? 445 of these Drive posters will be available.

I'm not exactly sure how many of those were already sold at the showing, or if this will be a 2nd release or not. Any typically speaking, 45 to 90 second sell out for this sort of release.

I double-checked. They are saying that they are selling the "remaining prints" off of the original run of 445. This will be a "blink" and you miss it release.

According to some folks over at EB the movie theatre seats 220. So that leaves 225 available on Thursday without taking into account any extras set aside for shipping damage.

There were a few empty seats too. I'd guess around 200 tomorrow.

I remember seeing the Stout BTiLC on sale for several days, and at the rate I had seen other Mondo posters selling for at the time I though, I'll just wait for them to put out another coupon, needless to say....

Later this month I will have a frame job you'll enjoy though.

Managed to get one of my own. Had to type in my phone number but everything else was quick and easy. The posters sold out in less than two minutes!

I managed to get a Drive print (putting an end to my recent dry spell). The design really started growing on me + hearing that it's pretty sharp in person.

Based on the eBay camera photos I saw, it looked really vibrant. A nice black frame to blend with the poster's border I imagine would look great on a wall.

I don't think these have all been posted. Not Mondo/Drafthouse... but there is a connection: Tim Doyle was the original creative director of Mondo. And he's the artist here:





















I love Tim Doyle... I've met him a few times at Flatstock and various other Austin events and he's a really nice dude. He also makes it really easy to get his prints locally, unlike Mondo.

EDIT: Ohh, that reminds me... those going to South by Southwest next month in Austin, BE SURE to hit Flatstock 2012 March 14-17, 2012 at The Austin Convention Center if you love Mondo prints. Nakatomi/Tim Doyle are always there along with many artists that Mondo/Drafthouse fans would recognize. They don't make it easy to find out which artists are there but off the top of my head... Daniel Danger, Eric Tan, Rob Jones, Rich Kelly, Methane Studios, and Print Mafia were there last year. Daniel Danger even offered to search his grandmother's basement for a print I was looking for! lol.
