The Drive prints are coming fast and furious now. Lead up to an Oscar nod? Mondo had one almost ready to go last year and the studio wouldn't give them the rights. So is it that one? or a new one?

I will try and get a ticket. I haven't been able to buy tickets very easily in the past. Funny it's easier to buy a poster on the Mondo site for me!

EDIT: Well there goes my theory on a possible Best Pic Oscar nod. Looks like Drive is up for Sound Editing though. And rumors of course have already begun about it being a Stout poster. I don't see it. But you know what I would like . . . Stout handbills featuring Albert Brooks in different roles throughout his 40 year career.

Even if you weren't sleeping it could have been hard to score. They were up on one page, then went down, then the tweet came and linked another page. There wasn't much warning so you had to be near a computer.

I grabbed the Ansin off of eBay. Assuming there are around 100 or so leftover from the sets, which order Mondo actually puts the posters up online, F5, F5, F5 and F5, etc. I could live with not having to do battle tomorrow morning.

That was an east coast love drop this morning.

I see some 'buy it now' for around double or slightly under + shipping, which isn't too too terrible. There is another auction ending in about 10 minutes from now, with on open bid of $50.

Got one (and I had some ebay Bucks which brought it down a bit): $56.81 shipped.

$2.19 cheaper than if I had got it from Mondo.

Mondo posted a link to a craigslist ad where some guy was already selling a copy for $400 saying the seller was "disgusting" and then got ripped apart for having a business that catered to scalpers in all the comments.

Also last night I briefly had a Stout Thing inside my home for the first and probably last time.

Drive poster is nice. I was really hoping to see an emphasis on the scorpion on the back of the jacket though. Feels like a missed opportunity to me design wise and what it symbolized in the film.

^ Agree. It's a solid design, but I'm a little underwhelmed. I thought we'd see a variant offering, but that doesn't look to be the case.
