Behind the TV on the shelves are TV Guides, I've been collecting since Feb of 2000

I haven't posted mine in quite awhile, so here it is...

I hope to get a new HDTV sometime in the next 6 months, along with a new HT system.

This bookcase has my boxsets, double feature discs and any movies that are part of a series.

Here are my superbits, as well as my Tarantino & Kevin Smith movies. The bottom shelf is the end of my boxsets and the start of my TV DVDs that continues to the bottom of the next bookcase.

Here are all my single title movies, TV is also continued on the bottom left bookcase.

TV is continued from the bottom left bookcase.

It's been awhile since I posted my setup. Please take into account I'm a 38 year-old college grad who makes about $36 an hour! We recently remodeled my house and my TV room is acting as a storage area. I went ahead and bought this 32 inch Vizio for my toy room until we can finish the TV room later this year.

My new TV, HTDV converter, DVD player, Wii, PS2, NES and Super NES.

This is the new DVD shelves I bought a few months ago. I didn't realize I had as many DVDs as I do until I put them up.

Had to find someplace for my toys, so I incorporated some of them into my shelves.

More DVDs... the slabs of wood are helping hold up the bowing shelves. I'm not a smart man and putting things together hurts my head.

Even more DVDs...

Yep you guess it...

Last DVD pic...

Video games. You'll notice many children's games. No I'm not some kind of tard, but I do have little boy who loves his video games.

I'll be posting pics of my collectibles in this forum soon.

Hey llars -

Where'd you get that component stand(can't really find the right words, for some reason)? Is it designed to have a TV on it? I really like it.

cheers,

I have recently cut my collection in half, (I'm down to about 250) but seeing all these collections make me wanna drive up the the video store and buy a shit load more haha. However, I am moving from Ohio to LA in 4 months and am trying to keep my possessions to a minimum...

For those that have them, where did you get your poster frames? I've been looking for reasonably priced poster frames, but haven't found any of late.

Every once in a while, Michael's craft store sells 27x40 black poster frames for $10.

007 Gold, Why are some of the shelves on backwards, exposing the rough particle board side? Just curious.

I've actually done that before. It's not really a huge deal, and I've learned a few lessons after building a few shelves

Thanks. I'll keep my eye out for them. I went in there a few weeks ago and they were like $25. If I paid $5-$7 for the poster, I'm not going to pay that much to frame it.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

It's an entertainment center made by Bush for 50" Plasmas. I had my eyes on it for awhile and I had a hard time finding one once I actually purchased it.

I does look kinda bad on an otherwise impressive collection. Can't you just turn them around, or are they stuck that way now? If they are, you could pick up some edge banding to fix them. Banding is cheap and easy.
