Carnivale Season 2?
This may have been asked, but when I did a search, I didn't find it, so apologies if it's been discussed...
Any news on when Carnivale Season 2 will be released?
Thanks.

This show was a surprisingly good blind buy! I just moved into a house about a month ago and finally I can watch HBO. Hopefully I get this within enough time to watch it, before season 3 airs. There is going to be a season 3 correct?

I'm eagerly anticipating this set myself, but I'm hoping for some good bonus material. If it takes a little time to come up with some worthwhile extras, that's fine with me.

I'm still stunned by the early demise of Carnivale. It was such a good show, and I was really looking forward to seeing where they would have gone with it.
At least I have the season two set to look forward to, and if it's anywhere as good as the first season, it'll be amazing. Hopefully it'll have some good commentaries and extras that might tie a few things up for us.

Of course, they'd have a hard time stopping me from re-watching the HDTV recordings I made of season 2 the first time it aired.

Why did HBO cancel Carnivale anyways? Ratings weren't high enough?

They don't need to sell airtime to commercials, so ratings don't matter. What matters is subscription revenue, so as long as they were seeing subscription revenue inline with expectations, then they should not be cancelling any shows.
