Anyone here happen to know if the WWE is planning on discontinuing old event releases that have Benoit in them? I still need to get a couple old shows like Summerslam 2004 and would prefer to buy it brand new at a decent price.

I think it would be pretty dumb for the WWE to discontinue all dvds with Benoit in it since he's pretty much wrestled in every PPV since he's been in the WWE. Only one I think that might be discontinued might be Wrestlemania 20 where he won the belt and that ended the show. Any thoughts guys?

As or the benoit dvd's. I doubt ppv's featuring benoit will be discountinued. I can almost say for sure the benoit hard knocks dvd will be pulled and discountinued.

In association with Universal Home Entertainment, they are going to digitally insert The Rock into the WM XX main event. They will be using the 3d model of the rock from The Mummy 2.

I met the guy back in feb of 05' when he came to Winnipeg to do one of those "Live event" shows (non-televised) & he was about 9 hours or so late for the autograph signing because he missed the plane in Atlanta, Ga. where he lives.
Anyway I was fifth in line so I wasn't going to leave & I was glad I stayed because he truly was one of the nicest guys I have ever met next to Kurt Angle who I met a couple years before when he was doing his autograph book tour & I was the first in line & he gave me a FREE! copy of his new book & signed it & he was truly another class act.
Anyway this whole Chris Benoit Murder-Suicide thing is a complete mess & tragedy. I know that its horrible (& don't knock me) that Mr. Benoit killed his wife & esp. his child but I know first hand that having to see a mentally retarded child suffer is an extremely hard thing too see & not many people realize that he probally did it because he thought the child was truly suffering.
Benoit was one hell of a good wrestler & a nice guy. People are calling this guy a scumbag & a coward but the thing is that they never have even watched wrestling in their life probally & have no fucking clue who Chris Benoit actually is & havn't seen his amazing talent.
Simply put I hope the WWE doesn't dis-continue any of the DVD ppv's or speciality WWE DVDs just because Chris Benoit is in it or on the cover. Sales will dip there is no doubt about that but I hope the WWE doesn't pussy out.

Different Story last night when Amazon published it as "Discontinue".
Unlike now after seeing your response ( a mere 7hrs later ), looks like two opportunists enlisted it in an over the top cost.
And if you take a closer look of the enlisted product there were two comments (customer discussion)last night related to removing Chris Benoit dvd

I'd say there should be a pretty fair amount of the Hard Knocks dvd out there in the public, so I'm not sure if it will maintain a high OOP price, like some have.
