Over 200 Sony Catalog titles for $5.98 @ DDD

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/studi...mainStudioid=3

$5.98 represents a price drop that's effective 3/21. There is some decent stuff here among the shlock..Lord Jim and The Front I can definitely recommend...some good but not great "classics" are also on this list like Bogart's Tokyo Joe and Harder They Fall...and 5.98 is a nice price for a lot of recent foreign titles.

Very funny, I paid over $20 for Amateur not that long ago. Oh well, for $5.99 if you don't buy that then... well, I don't know.

I ordered (so far, I would expect more to be ordered)

Vertical Ray of the Sun
Safe
California Split

This sale makes me wonder. . .I've noticed that Sony / Columbia have been releasing catalog titles packaged in boxes with thin cases. I Know / I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and the WWII Commemorative sets are examples. Could these markdowns suggest they're planning more sets like these in the future?

In any case, Happy Birthday To Me is a find for horror film fans, as mentioned. If you're looking for a blind buy and are into old horror and sci-fi, I strongly recommend The Devil Commands with Boris Karloff. It's a great, weird film that old black and white film fans will love.

It seems to me that all this titles are the ones that Sony put out of print recently.

You should be averaging less than $6 thru CH, so it's not a total waste. You're still saving a little $, but I know what you mean though - so choose wisely

I'm debating to get Spider or not. Not many of the other titles are familiar to me, I could use some recommendations to read reviews on if anyone wants to offer any.

Great prices for Vanya and Safe. That's a huge markdown for those 2 titles.

Nil By Mouth is a must have at this price.

Just Looking (Jason Alexander) and Time&Tide (Tsui Hark) are also interesting.

Apparently, DDD cares nothing about my marriage.....and the well-being of our six-month old child... have you no shame DDD?!! I have two starving mouths to feed, dammit! After the MGM sale and now this....it looks like yet another month of strategic planning on when and how to hide the credit card bill. Of course, this isn't a sale per se but price drops which should in theory stay at this price. So I guess I didn't have to get all these....but I did anyway, and that's why somebody needs to step in and drag me away from the computer in a straight-jacket kicking and screaming....

SPIDER $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
THE DEVIL COMMANDS $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
WILDER NAPALM $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
BETTY BLUE (DC) $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
IT SHOULD HAPPEN TO YOU $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
WALK ON THE WILD SIDE $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
LORD JIM $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
WATERMELON MAN $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
ONCE UPON A TIME $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
SUBWAY $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
FIRE DOWN BELOW $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98
LE DERNIER COMBAT $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98

THE HARDER THEY FALL $ 5.98 1 $ 5.98

A couple of excellent films! I'm ALWAYS recommending "The Experiment (Das Experiment)" -- it's GREAT! Trust me -- well worth this price.

Have to look through the list for myself now!

Hey everyone,

These are not price drops, this will be a limited time sale and while supplies last only.

These titles are being discontinued by Sony, so when they're gone they're gone. Don't wait -- order today!

Thanks for the business.

How long does it usually take to get a confirmation email from DDD? I placed an order about half an hour ago and haven't received one.
