wonder if they ended it early...when i go through the email link they sent me yesterday it doesnt show up anymore, and when i try to enter the code manually i get the 'we're sorry, we dont recognize...' message.

the email they sent yesterday read, "back by popular demand, a 48 hour sale so good we had to extend it....offer ends 2/20 at 11:59pm EST"

I am kind of new to the CH and BOGO scene so I apologize in advance if I come off repeating general knowledge or sounding like a buffoon.

That being said, last night and as of a few minutes ago I tried the code 804229 just for kicks and it gives me a BOGO plus unlimited 50% off. I didn't receive an e-mail or hear about this code..I just saw that 804227 was offered, followed immediately by 804228 so I tried 804229.

Is this commonplace to how the BOGO's work? I assume that at certain times (in the past anyway) there was a codeless BOGO offered to every member with an unlimited amount of times to BO and GO free?

Also, the 804228 code worked for me. I currently only have one account open although I have attempted to start a 2nd about two weeks ago with no response. I used the 804228 code twice in one night under the same account - it worked both times however only one of the titles that I bought at $21.95 is being shown as counting towards my requirement. I've read here that it may take up to a week to show accredation - but was using the same BOGO code on the same account a mistake? I'm thinking about calling and asking about this along with attempting to open up a new account.

Thanks for listening to me ramble.

Yeah 804228 is working for me. I just wish there was something I wanted to order. I was hoping for some new pre-order titles today, but their "by date" listing appears to be screwed up and full of upcoming video game titles again.

Anyone else getting the "We are unable to display certain shopping cart information at this time. Please be assured that your order will be processed correctly and that we are working to fix this problem." message? I'd like to try an order, but don't want to get charged full price for both DVDs. The previous order I placed when I received this message still doesen't show up under my account, and that was four days ago.

It is, indeed, usual for several codes to work for similar sale offers. Trying codes by number substitution is a long established practice here. We used to have members who would run algorithms that tried all 80xxxx code combinations to see what sale offers popped up.

The timing on a title showing up for fulfillment credit has to do with when the order is processed. If, for example, you buy a pre-order the fulfillment credit will usually not show up until the DVD is charged and about to ship.

Hope that helps.

That helps greatly! I figured that it had been tried before but I'm really impressed with the use of algorithms and the "science" behind it. Really cool. I did purchase Ghandi - earlier today my purchases were put towards my requirement. Sweet.

You can not get a boxset free with this promotion, but you can use one as your "Buy One" for the BOGO and get a regular selection free up to the regular price for the boxset

That explains why it wouldn't work. Thanks.

I guess I'll hold out until free shipping. Two dvds cost me about $28 without free shipping and I have to pay tax also. Maybe a b1g1 free with free shipping code will come out sometime this year so I can get the Departed 2 disc edition and Casino Royale.

I got The Constant Gardner ($19.95 - 10% = $17.95 and still a fulfillment title) and Big Fish Special Edition for $24 shipped. Not a spectacular deal, but as good as can be expected while paying shipping. Plus this fulfills this account.

What does this mean?

You placed orders with the codes, and they were cancelled?

I was given an error message when I entered the codes, and then the orders disapeared from their website. This has happened with every code that has been posted here.

Ch.com. Are these codes only for Columbia House? When I enter the code, the deals banner sucessfully changes to "Buy one get one free plus 60% off", but then I get the error message in the shopping cart.

Sale offer codes only work at the regular Columbia House DVD club and the TV Edition Club. Sale offers never work at CH.com.

At CH.com all DVDs are 40% off list and shipping is always free. The price one pays for that convenience is that DVDs cost more than a well managed regular club account using sale offers to fulfill.

Well that makes explains it. I was confused by the fact that the sale banner at ch.com actually changed to reflect the code that I had entered.
