Just to let you guys/gals know that i got the replacement dvds last week. They arrived in a cardboard envelope and the discs are stored in those inexpensive cd/dvd sleeves. The sleeves are made from those soft cotton material, unlike those mailer used for on-line dvd rentals. No scratches on the replacement discs, didn't check them in the player, but i assume they should be fine. The art work is same and nothing indicate those are replacements. Overall, i'm very satisfied with this purchase and thrilled with the replacement program (name spelled wrong, but no biggies).

Thanks op!

I just got my envelope yesterday--I had called back in December and called again a few weeks ago to get the status of it and it was returned to them because they completely had the wrong address down. The replacement still had the wrong address (and name), but it got to me...but at least I finally got the envelope.

I only just now got my mailer. I had to call back and correct my address for them.

On a pseudo unrelated note, I recently traded my horribly dented christmas copy at a best buy and got a new copy (same UPC/SKU) that was completely corrected already. merry christmas to me for no need for fixed discs! whee!

(take this also then as a note that they ARE out there)

I recevied my replacements last week and they were fine. I also received the 5 posters for sending in the poster form that came with the set.

I finally got my posters. They weren't in the best shape, as some of the edges had been "ruffled", and a spot in the middle of Superman: The Movie had a little kink in it, but, overall, nice. I'm planning to have them mounted on poster board.

Meant to buy this at Costco (it was $62 if I recall), but a search of a couple local Costcos has come up empty.

I was in Best Buy in West Hollywood and it look like they were restocked. There were about 12 on the shelf.

The two Best Buys near me also had about a half dozen each at the end of last week. The FYE store in my mall was littered with them Saturday on the box set table.

I received my replacement discs about three weeks ago, then I received them about a week ago, and now I received them again today. In other words, I now have three copies of Superman: The Movie Disc 1 and three copies of Superman 3. I feel like I should be expecting another set next week. Has anybody else had this "problem?"

What's the turnaround time from the time you send in the discs back?

If anyone's interested, Walmart.com has the set for just under $71.
Factor in about $10 for shipping and sales tax (if Walmart is in your state.)

It's disappeared from DeepDiscount and Amazon seems to be in & out, so I ordered it myself last night.

Lucky you. My replacements never arrived at all. I just called and they said they were mailed in January, but I guess they didn't fix all the typos in my name and address that they had when they sent me the mailer. I gave them correct info when I sent the bad discs, but apparently it was ignored. They are sending me another set, so hopefully I'll get them this time.

I saw five copies of the tin at BJ's today, for 69.99. I didn't write down the UPC so I don't know if it's the corrected version or not, and I don't know if they just found a case somewhere or what, so YMMV.

Got my copy today from UPS. Great looking set.

Edit: After going through all the disc, my set's discs were out of order like everyone else stated.
