As much as I love nitpicking this film, I'll probably pick it up just to complete the set.

same here, I'll also get it, but only if it's a 2 disc, which will prob-ly be the double dip. This movie is not a must-must have like the first two.

While I didn't like the third film as much as the second (only time in history where i can think that the third is the worst film (except for 'the godfather'), but I still really enjoyed it (in that 'check-you-brain-at-the-door' kinda way).

Oh yeah, no doubt I will complete the trilogy on DVD . . . I just hope FOX continues to provide the DTS tracks on their disks . . . that will be nice for the non-stop action in this sequel.

Let's hope Fox doesn't give this a crappy dvd release now so they can do another doubledip later.

Although not the greatest movie, its as good as the first so this is a no brainer...Hopefully too by this time, the HD/BR debate may be a little clearer (not likely though).

If it's a release like the initial two-disc of X2 (w/ DTS) the first time out , then I'm in off the starting line.

Oh, and if the report from this thread regarding the "Extended Cut" is anything close to true, then I'll wait for that release if the initial is skimped (which it shouldn't) (Edit): AND if the Extended has the extra audio track.

Sweet. While it wasn't as good as the first two, I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the DVD.

Yeah I'll probably buy this one too even though I was pretty disappointed. Hopefully the extras will be as good as X2's.

I'm on the fence. I want to get it for sure but with a extended cut rumored I might wait. I'm tired of double dipping for films anymore.

I really hope FOX provides an extensive 2 disc extended edition with DTS audio on release date . . . but we all know what FOX will do . . . probably a one disc release barebones with DTS . . . then a couple months down the line . . . a 2 disc extended cut . . .

Here are just a few recent examples I can think of recently . . .

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Alien vs. Predator
Kingdom of Heaven
Day After Tomorrow
Man on Fire
Elecktra
I, Robot
Dodgeball
etc., etc., etc. . . . .

According to Ratner, there wont be an extended version.

From thexverse.com

Looks like Ratner and Arad aren't in agreement:

Brett Ratner's X-Men: TLS DVD Plans Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

According to Comics Continuum, Brett Ratner says he's been building on his behind-the-scenes material for the eventual X-Men: The Last Stand DVD for a while, and that he's put together a two-hour documentary about helming the film already.

"It wasn't like EPK (electronic press kit) crews coming by and filming me going, 'Oh, today we're filming the...' It was an in-depth making of the movie."

Ratner also says that the DVD will contain deleted scenes, but not an extended cut of the film, because the footage he wanted in made it into the movie.

Likely to be one of Fox's first Blu Rays I would think... I may not buy any of this summer's movies on standard DVD.

I liked this one more than the first, but the second is easily still my favorite. Regardless, I'm buying the shit out of this.

Was it honestly that bad of a movie for the fans? I mean my entire extent in the X-Men universe is the movies an episode of Evolution and three or four episodes from the 90s series, and I really liked the third one. Yes it was nowhere near the second film, but it seemed on par with the first.

Not all the fans. I'm a long time reader of the comics, and I pretty much loved the film. It was really fun. I will be at the store buying this disc the day it is released as I can't wait to watch it again.
