I finally watched all of the deleted scenes tonight, and yeah, there's some good stuff in there.
I might try to stitch it together in DaVinci Resolve or something, but I don't think it plays nice...

That's fair. I personally feel that Prometheus & Covenant work best as a pair (even with the perceived gap in the timeline), but individually, Aliens is better than Prometheus, while (IMO), Covenant...
