Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

Did the first mission of the Dead Kings sequence. Good stuff. I also jumped back into Paris after a 8 Gig (!) patch. It's a shame this isn't the version of Unity that launched.

I could totally see that. Especially if you start it in mid-December or later with all the patch fixes.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

Just wrapped it up. 2 > Black Flag > Brotherhood > Revelations > Unity > 1 > 3. I still think it's worth a discounted purchase and playthrough.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

If you can hold off on the co-op missions there is still a ton of stuff to do that's working just fine in the solo campaign. That being said, it will be cheaper and more patched in a couple of weeks.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

I've done two co-op missions so far and both were broken. In the first, after waiting five minutes to find a team and load the mission, when we finally found the goal individual she wouldn't move or...

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

It did download a patch immediately when I booted the game up. I haven't tried the co-op yet but hope too tonight.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

I ended up grabbing this with some discounts at Toys R Us yesterday. Initial impressions: it's good and it's more Assassin's Creed. After about two hours with it I haven't run into a single instance...

No offense but as a generalization you're pretty much the king of conflicting opinions on this forum.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

I'd never defend Ubisoft but if you don't like review embargo's then don't support the industry with pre-orders. A huge issue is people constantly getting bent out of shape over review performance...

That review embargo is worrisome. The chatter on CAG is even more worrisome.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

I actually find Rogue, the story anyhow, to be much more appealing that Unity. But honestly, I don't wanna dig my PS3 out of the closet. Fingers crossed for a PS4 release in six months or so.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

This is the major issue here. And if they think this will calm the masses it's actually having the opposite effect and furthering the opinionated console divide.

Re: Assassin's Creed V (Unity? 18th-Century Paris) -- Fall 2014; Two Games Possible

Well, Black Flag revitalized the series after the atrocious III for me. So I'm down with this if true.
