Agree with the last 2 posts. I would have bought it... but I wouldn't have used it after the first day or two.

Raspberry Pi is the way to go -- if only to give a middle finger to Nintendo.

No way... You don't invest in all the tooling and potential licensing issues just to put a stop gap in for a few months while a hard to find console with limited games is being rushed into...

I read that somebody hacked this thing to play other systems now: Sega, SNES, etc... sounds like a Pi to me.

Brand awareness is great and all but I'm not buying Nintendo or Honda or any other product I'm aware of just because we're bitching about short stocked Mini NES's. Nintendo dropped the ball big time...

I'm doing this now. I plan to build a full blown MAME cabinet as I got a Canata Raspberry Pi 3 for Xmas. I think by this weekend I'll have the emulation going (just don't have a lot of time right...

Nothing so far... Toys R Us put out their Xmas booklet (a far cry from the catalog I loved as a kid) and it did feature the mini NES... but nowhere to pre-order.

While nobody is taking pre-orders yet, Best Buy allows you to sign up for an email thingy that'll hit you up when some news is available.

I'm sure there are some good games on that system, but to me, most look like shit... and I loved my Genesis.

The more I think about this mini NES, the more I realize Nintendo is shooting...
