I pulled off that rubber piece about 6 months ago because a lot of posts claimed when it touched a flat surface, it would eject the discs. I also placed the PS4 on a DVD set to make it higher.

I'm almost 2 years into owning my PS4 and I'm still experiencing the eject bug.

The console will just randomly spit out the disc and won't let you put a disc back in and will make eject noises...

New 2 TB hard drive is great. So much breathing room which is awesome. I still have 1.4 GB left after re-installing all the data and re-downloading all those games.

Turns out the file was only 232 MB. I didn't quite get that was only the firmware update and not the complete OS re-install as you mentioned. I found the larger file.
