Are we sure the problem is the discs failing, or could it be the Toshiba players, which were always flaky to begin with?

If that were the case, the firmware number would change in the player's info menu.

Also, as slow as disc loading was, firmware updates were much slower, and required a power down afterwards....

All of these were from a small batch of titles that Warner sourced from old 1080i masters that were deinterlaced and frame rate converted at the studio to 1080p24 before being pressed to disc. The...

When I reported numerous playback problems with Combo discs, Toshiba themselves sent me a cherry-picked HD-XA2 that had been manufactured to their tightest tolerances and run through a full battery...

Even though you tested these discs on multiple players, I honestly think this is more likely a hardware problem than a disc problem. Toshiba's players were extremely buggy, which was a huge downfall...
