I took his actions at the interview as a combination of self-sabotage, self-loathing as well as getting validation that his performance as Slippin Jimmy are still intact.

I didn't have a problem with him being tracked. I just thought it was a little too convenient that in the dark (even with a light nearby) that Nacho made easy to notice he was disposing the pills...

Pretty much. I still don't like how they handled Nacho disposing the pills and how it was seen. I expect lazy writing from other shows, but not BCS.
