That could only be because they're family/loved ones would be threatened. No money to pay assassins, no threat!
That's the whole point - take away all their money, they should have zero power over...

Why would Whiterose's goons still do his bidding, going so far as to take bullets for him, even after it was made explicitly clear that he has no money left to pay them?

I couldn't get over how he kept saying "bruh!". Not "bro", or "bra", but "bruh"... got really annoying.
