Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

What I wish they would do is make the maximum level higher for major skills. Say you would get up to 120 instead of 100, or something like that. That way, your late game character would still be...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Wouldn't your hard drive be registered to your system? I think you're just going to have to take her system to your place and sign her up for a Live account.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Pretty much, but as much as I prefer singleplayer games, I can understand why they feel they need a multiplayer component in some cases. It's easy to say that an Elder Scrolls game doesn't need...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Sure they did. It's just that the Z button became the defacto left bumper because the controller was designed so you couldn't reach the actual L button when you were using the analog stick.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

From what I've read, no. You need to be connected. If it was PS3, it's possible to set up a proxy server and download updates to a PC, then to the PS3, but the 360 doesn't have a proxy server...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Actually it might not. I've seen megapacks that don't contain the newest games. I know Valve has had a sale or two on their "complete" pack that didn't contain Portal 2. I think Skyrim will go on...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

The PC version should also get some unofficial bug fixes that go beyond what will be available for the consoles. Although, they may not show up until Bethesda has ended their patch support. Also,...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

One major advantage of the Wiki is that it will point out where a bug causes problems with a quest, and how you might be able to work around it.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Probably. There are plenty of people, myself included, who have never played the first two TES games that came out in the 90s.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I am, but I'm probably going to wait for a patch or two. Plus, Steam has gotten me so spoiled on deals that I feel like I have to wait for a sale.

Orangecrush, I think it will be different for...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Where does it say how the game will level? I haven't played Fallout 3 (but I keep meaning to do so).

What I didn't like about the leveling in Oblivion was how you had to plan it so carefully to...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Well, after 5 and a half years, I'd expect a new engine. :) I may also get this on the PC, because as good as these games are, they have a lot of bugs, and patches don't fix some of them. On the...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I don't think so. We hear about new consoles far enough in advance that it's extremely unlikely. This generation is lasting longer. I'd like to start hearing something soon, but I don't expect the...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Awesome. Is that Max Von Sydow doing the narration?
