Negative. It had to do with how time moves in hollow earth compared to time on the surface. When Shaw came back from being stuck there, he was still the same age but everyone on the surface aged like...

Maybe. I've watched that one a good few times but don't stick around for the credits. I don't remember what the scene was but do remember that it had one.

I re-watched 2014 last night. It had been many years since I've seen it. I didn't remember that the nuke in the 50's was part of that film as well. I thought it was original to this show.

No attack on Japan. As far as we know, when they used the nuke was the first time Godzilla was seen in this universe. But that throws a wrench in Skull Island since Bill already knew about Godzilla...

Yeah, has to be someone different. Far too big a coincidence for his son to be on the random fishing boat that pulled in the bag his father threw into the ocean years earlier.

I saw it get picked up by the boat but it's the same bag that was in the dead father's safe in Japan. I guess that's something we'll learn later.
