Nope. DmC is completely stand-alone from the rest of the series.

Capcom let NinjaTheory have a stab at the franchise with DmC (presumably because they were out of ideas and DMC4 didn't go over...

So the time line had pretty much always been:
3 -> 1 -> 4 -> 2
and people were unsure if 5 would be before or after 2...

I've read somewhere that would seem to indicate that one of the devs...

Now they're talking about Capcom adding micro-transactions to the game.

Count me among the people no longer interested in the game.

Ah, didn't realize that. Well it's funny that Nero looks more like classic Dante than Dante himself does. Dante actually looks ugly here then.

Slightly closer to classic Dante in looks, but still not the same. :'(

I don't get why they changed him to a black-haired emo punk in DMC, besides letting another company be in charge of making...
