Re: DVD Shipping

Maybe because some of you haven't acknowledged what I've been saying. You say things that show you really weren't aware of the purpose of my thread, but were just ready to shoot holes in it. And...

Re: DVD Shipping

No, not really, in fact it is you and your sexual friend who are trolling, I started this thread afterall. I welcomed basically complaints against shippers and all you two guys have pretty much done...

Re: DVD Shipping

For those who don't know, and I thought I made this clear earlier, I wasn't expecting that when the package arrived in mesquite that they would take it to me. Would be nice, but I know that's not how...

Re: DVD Shipping

Because there's not many waking hours left. You clearly havent' been reading my posts, as I said before they're ALWAYS delivering well after 5pm. Had I been running a business here it would be the...

Re: DVD Shipping

I actually talked to UPS over here about this pretty recently. They told me they deliver as I described earlier, fartherest point and working toward the station, which means I always get mine stuff...

Re: DVD Shipping

I don't think I have ever tried UPS standard before and kept track of it. usually I expect standard to arrive so late I couldn't care less, but if UPS keeps up the habit with me, they would deliver...

Re: DVD Shipping

It figures! I didn't see any option to have any carrier but UPS and had I seen a USPS option, and chose standard delivery I probably would had got it the 3rd day, and around noon as well. Your story...

Re: DVD Shipping

I did entertain that it could had been delivered a day earlier, that is if it were with another shipper, as it's apparent anything arriving there after 8:30am is shot for that day.

I wasn't...

Re: DVD Shipping

Perhaps you should read what I wrote and you would see that there is more to it than that, but yeah, that's the primary complaint. Just very sick of VERY end of the day service amounting to what...

Re: DVD Shipping

The shiping label on the package said: UPS 3 day select. So why did the B&N website claim the delivery time was 1-3 days? One has to wonder how they would come up with that, or UPS, if the statement...

Re: DVD Shipping

5:59pm - It finally arrived. They made up somewhat for the shoddiness of the outside box's flap being completely open on the previosu delivery, by this time putting something that looked like...

Re: DVD Shipping

I haven't actually seen one of my packages get a not due tag, but it's apparent they're doing it anyway. I suspect very strongly they load the trucks up in the morning, and won't send anybody out...

Re: DVD Shipping

So with Prime, do you automatically get 1 day orders? I guess a lot of people who get UPS and get it the next day after it's shipped, though at the end of the day possibly, would consider it a one...

Re: DVD Shipping

I think we both may have had great rants. I know my problems with them pale in comparison to some of the more horror stories out there, but they do really anger me nonetheless. I was being a little...

DVD Shipping

I hate it when I find that a website only offers delivery by UPS. I much prefer USPS. You would think that I have it good, considering I live within walking distance of the nearest UPS station (the...

Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets

Darn good price. Although vol8 might seem to be the worst one, almost half of it is Shemp material (though 4 episodes are either with a double or old Shemp shots) and it is the volume with the...

Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets

I'm not an authority on Sony's intentions, but I thought I saw a thread on here somewhere where somebody claimed there would be a set for the movies, but I got the impression where I saw such a...

Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets

I probably actually saw all the Stooge movies at one time or another. They were okay, but rather dull for Stooges films.

What can I say, I like music, and big band was one of my favorites for...

Re: Sony to begin Stooge DVD sets

Talk about madness, I saw the Stooges vol8 for $20 again at Walmart and they still had only 2 copies out there. What's the odds that they sold what they had out there and this was 2 different copies?...

Re: Older TV Series on BD

I wrote "all things being equal" meaning that both were films, as I thought the gist of saying that black/whites are usually in better shape, untreated, would be readably apparent. Sorry if that was...

Re: Older TV Series on BD

A good option, but I'm more into ownership. At this stage I'm assuming that BD treatments will all be pretty much as good as they can be got, but knowing the vast diferences I saw between various dvd...

Re: Older TV Series on BD

So you're trying to tell me that tranferring a solid black/white to BD, would be more difficult and more costly than transferring a color production which hadn't comparatively held up as well? Care...

Re: Older TV Series on BD

No, what I'm saying, all things being equal, let's say two films, then it seems something that had held up better, say a black/white over a color, then the transfer would be easier. And there are...

Re: Older TV Series on BD

That's a shock considering how good Peanuts looks already. I can't imagine them being any better than my Great Pumpkin dvd. Peanuts was often a bit pricey for the little amount of film made available...

Re: Older TV Series on BD

A lot of black/ white looks so good anyway, it's almost unimaginable that it wouldn't be easier to make it BD worthy compared especially to older color broadcasts.
