Re: The First Omen (2024, D: Stevenson) - prequel

Director/Writer Arkasha Stevenson retconned the story to make the jackal the father in this film.

Re: Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover movie announced

It probably won't happen but I hope they pull some inspiration from IDW Publishing's Transformers Vs. G.I. Joe run.

Serpentor Prime please :D

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

The Dark Knight (2008)

Try as I may, I've never grown tired of this film.

Thanks to Regal, I was able to see it again in theaters

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Saltburn (2023)

Director/Writer Emerald Fennell absolutely had my eyes glued to the screen until the final act.

With that said, the cast is fantastic as is Linus Sandgren's cinematography.

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)

Definitely made me long for the days when Director Adam Wingard was making smaller but more interesting films.

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Imaginary (2024)

I enjoyed Five Nights at Freddy's (2023) a bit more than this film.

That doesn't bode well for the quality of Blumhouse's output as of late.

Production Design was solid but...

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Road House (2024)

Director Doug Liman has made quite a few films that I've enjoyed over the years. His remake of the 1989 films isn't one of them.

Enjoyed Jake Gyllenhaal's performance but...

Re: Did Anyone Ask for a Remake of "Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead"?

Depending on how long it's in theaters, I might check this out.

Regal Unlimited Plus Pass makes these decisions for me

Re: Saltburn (2023, W/D: Fennell) S: Pike, Keoghan, Elordi, Grant, Mulligan

Re: The First Omen (2024, D: Stevenson) - prequel

Saw this last week and felt similar, though Nell Tiger Free's performance was fantastic.

I'm not sure that Religious Horror Films have anything left to say that's particularly new or original.

Re: Imaginary (2024, D: Wadlow) -- S: DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne -- From Blumhouse

Saw this earlier today and I'll echo the same thoughts. It's been about a year since Blumhouse has produced anything I've found interesting.

The production design was solid but I didn't care for...

Re: MaXXXine (2024, D: Ti West) -- X sequel -- S: Mia Goth

Production Design looks fantastic.

I wonder much the Night Stalker stuff will factor into the overall plot.

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Madame Web (2024)

116-minutes that I'll never get back.

Weak villain & terrible script.

Re: Kill (2024) -- Indian action thriller

Definitely interested based on the posted trailer alone.

Hopefully it'll be screening in my area.
