I just can't disagree more with the notion that Hooper was wrong to film with live singing. Having a polished, pre-recorded soundtrack lip-synced by actors hoping to capture the necessary emotion...

The schizophrenia of the reviews is amazing. Just an example from today: Richard Roeper says it's a triumph and gives it an A, while it made Michael Phillips' 10 worst movies of 2012.

It looks like some AMC theaters are doing early showings at 10 PM on Christmas Eve. Very excited to get the wait over with, so we might jump on that.

The "Highlights" from the soundtrack releases the day after Christmas. No full soundtrack is up for preorder yet.
