Re: Joker: Folie à Deux (2024, D: Phillips) S: Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga

I liked but did not love the first Joker, (I found it somewhat derivative), and I am not a big fan of musicals, (I still have not see La La Land), so I am not sure about this. Willing to keep my mind...

Re: Babylon (2022, D: Chazelle) S: Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Diego Calva

Finally got to see this and enjoyed it overall although it did have flaws. The time period was adhered too somewhat loosely at times and some of the subplots were shortchanged. Had a problem with...

Re: The 96th Academy Awards --> 2024 Oscar Awards Show Discussion

The In Memorium segment really sucked for reasons already mentioned but also on their choices on who gets featured and who doesn't. Burt Young, who was nominated for best supporting actor and is in...

Re: Super Bowl 58 Commercial Discussion Thread

For me, much like the Super Bowl pre-game hoopla and halftime, I find most of the commercials to be "hit you over the head", overblown and overdone. The Dove commercial I liked because it ran against...

Re: The Unpopular Movie Opinion Thread, Part III

The 2 Harry Potter films are the only films that Chris Columbus has directed that I like. I am thankful that he didn't make them unbearable like some of his other films.

Re: The Unpopular Movie Opinion Thread, Part III

I feel the same way about the first 2 Potter films. It helped that Chris Columbus left the director's chair as I have never been a fan of his. I was not surprised there was an immediate uptick in...

Re: The Greatest Night in Pop (2024) — The Making of We are the World — Netflix — 1/29/24
