Yet Trump is still winning. This is not about mistakes made by the Democrats. This is about many of us, myself included, misjudging just how fucked up this country is.\

Yeah, if Trump wins we deserve the death and misery thatís to come. And Iíll stop following politics myself. Iíll vote for the better human being when I can but itís obviously an unfixable mess.

And then weíll see what happens when the ACA is tossed, abortion is made illegal and every other shitty thing the Repubs have planned comes to fruition.

Plus the coronavirus will probably kill us all anyway. What a shit time to be an American.

Almost every "tossup" Senate race except one is looking bad for Democrats right now.

I feel like going out and getting Coronavirus at this point. Why bother trying to do the right thing anymore?

Sorry, no, the Dems should have been able to walk this in after such a horrific handling of the pandemic by Trump. They could have run on universal healthcare to take care of everybody's Covid cases and it would have been a runaway win.

Trump has zero chance of winning Virginia. Northern Virginia (where most of the population is) went strongly for Clinton in 2016 and will be even more one-sided this year. The White House is surrounded on all sides by people who overwhelmingly hate Trump.

I'm gonna stop checking the thread lol. It may very well end up as bad as everyone is predicting. I'm pretty pessimistic by nature myself, so I get it. But this thread is far more negative than my nerves can handle right now.

No way - Trumpís running on abolishing the ACA. Too many people in this country donít want to help the other people in this country to, you know, live.

Support for single payer is still pretty low. Only "Medicare for all" polls reasonably well. And, as tonight is proving, national polling means jack shit. I think the Biden campaign struck about the right note on healthcare, frankly.

Pre-pandemic polling has about 75% of Americans being happy with the healthcare they have. I'm sure that number has dropped a bit, but probably not by all that much. When it comes to pulling the voting booth lever, most people still vote in what they perceive to be their own self-interest, not for the interests of others.

It's a balancing act. People want to abolish "Obamacare," but they also want to keep the parts of the ACA that benefit them personally.

Jesus, if Trump wins Michigan, that will be the end of any trust in polling for the next decade at least. One measly poll (Trafalgar Group) in the past couple of weeks had Trump ahead there and many of the rest had Biden by 8+. Arizona is kind of the only thing that is going Biden's way tonight so far.

Still more paths for Biden, Trump could win PA and lose AZ and still lose.

I still don’t understand how here in NC the people picked Democrat Roy Cooper for governor and Trump is leading the race. Who the hell is voting for Cooper but also Trump?!?

Yes, but he has to flip WI and MI, which isn't looking as likely as it did yesterday, and get all of the open districts in ME and NE.

In this scenario, we're dangerously close to a tie, which would be a win for trump since he would probably take the House in a vote...
