Kid-friendly article or webpage on women's right in Egypt and the Middle East?

I'm having a helluva time finding an article or webpage that explains the freedoms (or lack their of) that many women in Egypt and the Middle East live with. I'd like specific examples of what they can nd can not do.

Everything gets way too in depth about conservative parties, specific court rulings, etc.

Any help? Oh and this will be for 6th graders.

Can't help with age appropriate stuff.

But it's "lack thereof" as to women in Egypt. Though I will say Egypt is better at putting on appearances than it used ot be.

Someone I know had been over there for months trying to convince doctors to stop performing female circumcision on girls. He's not having great success but feels he may have gotten through to a small minority. That's where women are in Egypt.

When I talk to him on Yahoo... well it's shocking stuff as you might imagine.

Then I talk to the women I know who live in Egypt on Yahoo and hear them try to claim how free they are and etc. A person really can't gain perspective on a thing they've never been outside of I guess. Nor can they miss what they've never known.

It's sad that women in Egypt 4,000 years ago had more rights than today.

Webpage that describes the rights women have (or don't have) in the Middle East?

I'm covering the Middle East in my 6th grade geography class and I'd like to discuss the rights women have over there. Most noteably about how they dress, divorce, etc...

Any sites that give easy-ro-read examples of this?

I certainly wouldn't call it a clever joke...

Try here.

While it says Middle East and North Africa, there are some missing (Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, etc.), it's not an awful overview and no horrifying graphic details to warp any sixth grade minds.
