The gap between the rich and the poor

http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/4...ic=&topic_set=

I would post the article, but it is 9 pages long. The main premise seems to be that this is not really a problem. It is a very interesting article.

I have often wondered why the Democrats have never been able to make this work for them. Sometimes it seems to work against them.

So did the article indicate when we would see car-burning riots in this country by socio-economically deprived youth?

since it's in Wired I'm assuming it's OK for democrats to be rich, but not republicans

And every single one of them wants to raise taxes on the "rich".

However those of the top 10 that I've looked into use tax loopholes and pay lower tax rates than the average middle class person. Their tax hike proposals wouldn't change that.

Since you've already done the research, got any links to show what loopholes they all use?

I want to write my representative and tell him that I disagree with what they did.

Two of the oil companies owned by the Kennedies drill oil here in the US, but the companies are set up in Fiji. They then pay royalties to the Kennedy clan to escape taxes. Most also have trusts set up, and even charitable trusts, which are only required to give out 3% of their assets per year, most give only the minimum and generally to charities that support them, like the ACLU, Sierra Club, etc. Certainly that isn't limited to Senators, though, even Michael Moore does that.

There's a link for you. You can Google it, but most point to the new book "Do As I say....." and so far no one seems to dispute it.

I would think it's easy enough to find my and other people's posts about "Kennedy", "Corzine", "Kerry", and "Edwards" along with "tax".

If the search here doesn't find those posts a Google search will be quite informative.
