Thought I'd try for a fluffy, non-controversial topic.

I realized the other day that this will be the fourth presidential election I'm voting in. For some reason, that number surprised me.

Including 2004, how many presidential elections have you voted in?

3rd.

2000 was my favorite because I voted libertarian. Checking the voting stats after the election, I found out that I was one of about 18 (I think) people in the city of Alexandria that did so. That made me feel special.

Actually, there were 223 in Alexandria. There were 463 such people in Arlington where I voted. The 18 was probably your specific precinct.

Yeah, I think you're right. Gore was going to take NoVA, so I voted my conscience that election.

92 Clinton (did a good job in my home state and Bush was terrible)

96 Clinton (was on the right track, streamlining govt, reducing the deficit)

00 Gore (Represented the good of Clinton without the bad)

04 Kerry (A thoughtful and eloquent guy...and whatever I can do to remove the worst president of my lifetime...including Nixon, who was a criminal)

Would've voted for Carter in 80
Would've voted for Reagan in 84
Would've voted for Bush in 88
