I agree. He's not stammering and he doesn't sound as whiney. Though he does kind of fall back into whiney mode whenever he talks about Kerry flip-flopping.

uhh they're both doing that.

He doesn't look like a deer in headlights tonight

Personally I know I'm going to win tonight... instead of that dull commentary during the last debate I'm listening to the Silence of the Lambs  Keep me up to date on what's going on w/ the "debate" though. You guys are much more interesting than listening to the actual thing ;)

This is the first question, right?

- David Stein

I'm working in Japan right now, and they're not covering the debates at all on local tv, so I'm watching it on my pc. To be fair though, I'm pretty sure someone else said that C-Span had a feed up as well, but I'll take the credit, thanks! ;)

That's a lie almost as good as, "Tonight on this stage is the first time we've met."

None of his advisors are neocons? Are you in some alternate reality where Dick Cheney and Rummy and Condy don't exist?

sfsdfd 10-08-04 08:19 PM

"The war on terror is to make sure that weapons of mass destruction don't end up in the hands of terrorists."

You mean like the weapons that Saddam didn't have?

 What is this woman wearing? Is she wearing a blanket?

Name the ones that are giving him political advice please. Also name, other than Iraq, (which isn't, but I will give you that one), one single neoconservative policy being advanced by this administration? Just one will suffice.
Thanks.

No David, like the ones that every single intelligence agency in the World thought he had.

Pharoh 10-08-04 08:20 PM

Not certain how this will turn out, but the President is performing far better than the previous debate.

He does sound better - he's not falling back on the "and America is stronger" line as much.

This debate format is very weird. It feels like goddamn Jerry Springer. I half expect Cheney to run onto the stage wielding a chair.

DICK CHENEY is actually the President, I think that qualifies as an advisor. Although, with you, I'm sure that won't suffice.

Other than Iraq? Everything in this election will come down to Iraq. Nice way of throwing out 90% of the discussion.

Now that would be entertainment!

You obviously have no idea what the Neoconservative policy regarding Israel is. I'll leave this one alone then, there is no need to go further.

mikehunt 10-08-04 08:22 PM

how about those IEDs made from chemical weapon shells?

Every single intelligence agency? I'd LOVE to know where you got that one...It's funny, cause the German intelligence agencies have said they did not have solid evidence which is why they would not back the invasion, but "EVERY SINGLE" one had it, eh?

DarkElf 10-08-04 08:22 PM

So is Bush passing the buck on not having enough troops in place?

Mr. Cheney is not a Neoconservative, never has been. Stop listening to silly soundbites.

astrochimp 10-08-04 08:24 PM

Everytime i see George Bush Jr. on TV i cant believe hes president of anything, let alone the United States of America.

sfsdfd 10-08-04 08:24 PM

I rescind my previous statement. This debate format is fucking worthless. "I'll say a sentence, then you say a sentence, then I'll say a sentence." It's sound-bite-o-rama. This is stupid and disappointing.

All I know is Numanoid is a neo-con :D

al_bundy 10-08-04 08:24 PM

kerry is in some la la land if he thinks making america safe involves only the capture of bin laden.

You need to check what German intelligence said in 2001 concerning Iraq's nuclear weapons program.

Hell, if we listened to German intelligence, we might have just nuked Iraq.
