The Triumph of the Will (Riefenstahl)

In these troubled times, I think it's interesting to see what Germany is doing. So I caught this film, The Triumph of the Will, and it seems like things are really going great for them! They're pioneered this new political movement, National Socialism. Now, I know "socialism" has negative connotations for a lot of Americans (I mean, heck, look at the opposition to something simple like universal healthcare!), but this German version seems really unique and interesting. I have to say, given how prosperous Germany looks in this dismal economic climate, I might just have to move myself and my family, the Rothsteinbergsons, out to Berlin and give this whole "National Socialism" thing a spin.

Also, I would be remiss if I did not mention the spectacular camera and editing work of director Leni Riefenstahl. She's a talent to watch for sure!

Well, I'm off. I'll send you guys a message when I get to Germany. I'm thinking of opening up a money lending shop, since the economy is so good over there. Auf Wiedersehen! (That's German for "Wish me luck!")

From seeing this film I now understand that they lost WWII because they were tremendeous bores

I'd be more worried about the "National" part of the National Socialist Party than the "Socialist" part. It was the unilateral national spirit that precipitated in the events of WWI and WWII.

I like all the snazzy uniforms they wear. I wonder who their dry cleaner is?

Haven't seen this film yet. I went to Germany over the summer and enjoyed it quite a bit. They seem to be doing pretty well with their "evil" socialism.

If
Nazi "National Socialism" is the same as "Socialism"

Then
The German Democratic Republic was a "Democracy"

And
The People's Republic of China is "Republican"
